ICE Group Members,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2024 Annual ICE Group meeting, scheduled to take place September 9th through September 11th at The Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, GA.
First, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to John Catalfano and his team at Mallory & Evans Service for all their hard work preparing to host us in Atlanta. John and his folks have done a fantastic job putting this meeting together.
This year’s meeting is particularly special as we celebrate 10 years as The ICE Group. It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since we formed this group. Because of you, our members, this group has grown into the most productive and impressive collaboration of top tier service providers in our industry. Your engagement, interaction and willingness to assist each other in resolving complex issues is what makes this group unique and so extremely valuable. So pat yourselves on the back for making this group what it has become in just 10 short years. I’m honored and humbled to be a part of what we have accomplished and are poised to accomplish in the coming years.
Earlier this spring, April 2nd and 3rd , Bob Wilken graciously led our board through an annual strategic planning session. We came away from that meeting with some bold new initiatives as well as exciting updates regarding initiatives underway. We will be updating the group on these initiatives in Atlanta and requesting your help in executing them.
John Catalfano, his team at Mallory & Evans in assistance of The Technical Committee has curated an exceptional agenda that includes a dynamic keynote speaker, a very cool group dinner and, as always, exceptional technical presentations. The Business Agenda Committee has also put together some fantastic business breakouts. Finally, and arguably best of all, are the numerous networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and innovation within our membership.
Our annual meeting is not just a platform for learning and professional growth; it is also an opportunity to celebrate our collective achievements and to envision the future of the heavy commercial/industrial HVAC industry. We encourage all attendees to engage actively, share their experiences, and take full advantage of the resources and knowledge available.

In 1972, the Henry Grady Hotel was demolished to make room for The Westin Peachtree Plaza. Designed by Atlanta’s own world-renowned architect, John Portman, the 73-story hotel is a cylindrical tower clad in reflective glass and a dynamic, 90-foot sky-lit lobby that incorporates elements of nature with rich textiles, modern furnishings and thoughtfully-appointed seating zones. At 723 feet, the dramatic hotel was Atlanta’s tallest building until 1987, when it was surpassed by One Atlantic Center.
Today, The Westin Peachtree Plaza is the fifth tallest building in Atlanta and remains the tallest hotel in the Southeast. On-site amenities include the famed Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View – with award-winning food and panoramic views of the skyline as well as a Starbucks, Bar210, and The Café. Guests also may enjoy a 24-hour fitness center and a heated indoor/outdoor pool. In addition, you may reserve a bike which includes a map for a self-guided cycling experience.
OBSERVATION DECK
Situated on the uppermost floors of The Westin Peachtree Plaza is a tri-level complex, The Sun Dial features an upscale restaurant, a cocktail lounge and an observatory level with a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the magnificent skyline from 723 feet above.
To visit the Observation Deck you will need to go to the Host Stand located on the fifth floor Lobby Level. It is open between 11am – 4pm daily with a cost of a $10 fee. However, if a private event is scheduled on the top level, the Observation Desk may closed. Please visit the Host Stand for status during your stay.
The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View offers unparalleled views and a distinct Atlanta dining experience that makes the most of the city’s proximity to local, farm-to-table ingredients. For reservations to restaurant, please confirm through their website https://www.sundialrestaurant.com.
AIRPORT
The Atlanta Airport is 12.6 miles and an approximate 20 – 35 minute drive, depending on traffic, or you may take the MARTA from station inside the Atlanta Airport to the stop across from the Westin Peachtree Plaza.
A. CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION PRIOR TO ANNUAL MEETING
Should a registered member be unable to attend the ICE Group annual meeting and the ICE Group is notified within 30 calendar days prior to the beginning of the event, the registration fee paid by the member will be returned. No refunds will be made if notice of cancellation is received less than 30 calendar days prior to the beginning of the ICE Group annual meeting.
B. FAILURE TO SHOW
If a member fails to attend without cancelling within 30 calendar days as prescribed above, then the member forfeits the registration fees paid and shall not be entitled to any refunds.
C. CANCELLATION OF EVENT
If the ICE Group Annual Meeting is cancelled due to any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the ICE Group, all payments made by members for the registration fee will be refunded to members, which shall be the sole and exclusive liability of the ICE Group.

AIRPORT
The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is 12.6 miles (20 – 35 minutes by car) from the Westin Peachtree Plaza.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
MARTA‘s (Atlanta’s subway) airport station is attached to the airport, right off of baggage claim. The travel time is approximately 20 minutes from the airport to Peachtree Center Station. The Westin is about a 4 minute walk from the station.
